OUR STORY passion and conversion

Who is “us”?
The Maison Dauphine is a bit of a “mid-life crisis” for me!
I am Véronique Kadri. I taught Letters for 14 years in a French high school, I happily accompanied generations of teenagers until they passed their baccalaureate exams.

The need to undertake and change my life… one day, I had the desire to create my own job and to integrate other skills and passions.

In 2006 I bought a bourgeois house in the centre of Aix-en-Provence. This will be the place of my professional reconversion. I imagined this house as a place where I could express my two passions: hosting and art. To welcome people, to help them discover my city and this magnificent region of Provence; to keep the link with art and beauty, so essential!

ONE HOUSE, TWO ORIENTATIONS

The project is taking shape in broad strokes. I imagine a comfortable house to live in for privileged guests and where heritage and art will have a place of choice.
After a year of work, I opened 3 charming guest flats and started my second project.
The gallery opened in 2009 on the ground floor of the house, now called the Maison Dauphine.

The maison Dauphine
A guest house of charm in Aix-en-Provence

Conceived and designed for a few privileged guests, in the heart of the Mazarin Quarter in Aix-en-Provence.

It is a secret house, surrounded by majestic seventeenth century facades, ideally located between the Cours Mirabeau and the Fontaine des Quatre Dauphins. We offer exceptional stays in a place steeped in history, with a refined decoration.
