“Anaïs Claire Marguerite – bathers” is a painting by the contemporary artist Cécile Colombo.

In her series of paintings Bathers, she sketches women at the beach, round and well in their skin. In our art gallery the reactions of the visitors are unanimous. Smiles and kindness. The painter mixes techniques in her paintings. Ink, acrylic paint, watercolour and collage enliven the work. The artist is particularly attentive to the creation of motifs that recreate the positive and joyful fashion of the 70s. A tonic palette, geometric motifs, fruit designs, flowery bathing caps…

The already large format of this painting lends itself particularly well to the subject. The bodies of these women, all in generosity, overflow the frame, we love it!

Cécile Colombo also tells her own story in her paintings, when, as a child in Provence, she accompanied her aunts to the beach. “Anaïs Claire Marguerite – bathers” is a painting full of nostalgia and happy memories.
