Biography of José Nicolas
José Nicolas has a successful career of reporter-photographer behind him. After working for a regional daily newspaper, he accompanied missions for humanitarian organisations such as Médecins du Monde, and worked for the SIPA agency, for which he covered numerous conflicts in all the critical places on the planet. His work as a reporter has earned him several international awards.
His legacy of historical events and humanistic images is immense. Always armed with his third eye, José Nicolas now pursues his exploration of the world in a more personal way and continues to complete an already abundant corpus.
Techniques
The landscapes of Provence, the peninsula of Saint-Tropez, the island of Porquerolles offer him varied itineraries. In these natural gems he walks the paths, lingers and observes. The work in telemetric medium format marks a return to analogue photography and reveals to us hidden treasures.
